Rico Petrocelli Bio

Rico Petrocelli played  for the Boston Red Sox for 13 seasons as a shortstop and thirdbaseman. Two World Series, 1967 Impossible Dream ball club against the St. Louis Cardinals and 1975 vs. the Cincinnati Reds.

Voted into Red Sox Hall of Fame in 1997. Was first American league shortstop to hit 40 home runs in a season. Played in two all-star games. Ended career with 210 home runs and 778 RBI. Managed and coached in the White Sox and Red Sox organizations.
